Mumbai, the city of dreams, came to a standstill due to heavy downpour on June 19, 2015. It has been reported that it was the “wettest June day since 2005”, when it had absolutely stopped the city and killed several people. But, nothing can shake the spirit of this stunning city. While politicians have begun the blame game, the citizens are finding a way to let the moment pass without further destruction.

“It’s the same story every year. This Chief Minister or others, doesn’t make a difference. They all wake up after the floods,” said Pratibha, living in her makeshift home currently under water.

There’s hope. Life has to go on, and it goes on. You will find some inspiration in these incredible pictures, clicked bySherwin Crasto, describing the day from the eyes of Mumbai’s citizens.
