Big fishes on Tamor River banks (Photo Feature)
BIRATNAGAR, JUN 14 – The flood in the Tamor River has surprised everyone with the recovery of big sized fish es along the river banks.
As the news about the discovery of bizarre creatures began to circulate, people from neighbouring villages rushed to the Budhi Morang, Mulghat area to collect them.
A local journalist Mohan Bantawa said the fish es weigh 65 to 80 kg each. As many as 10,000 tones of fish es were recovered in a single day from the Tamor River banks in Dhankuta district. The fishes were sold for up to Rs 400 per kilo in local market, Bantawa said.
