12 June, Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephonic talks this evening.
While making a phone call, Prime Minister Koirala requested his Indian counterpart to participate in the Nepal Donors Conference stated for June 25 to raise assistance for post-quake reconstruction, rehabilitation and new construction.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Koirala extended his sincere thanks for the cooperation received from India at the moment of grief, informed PM Koirala’s Press Advisor Prateek Pradhan.
He further shared, “The Prime Minister briefed Indian PM Modi that the objective of organizing the conference in Nepal is to showcase the donor countries and agencies the earthquake-inflicted damages to Nepal”.
Advisor Pradhan quoted PM Koirala as saying that Indian PM Modi positively took his request to attend the conference,
Noting that India is ever committed to extend all possible cooperation to Nepal, Indian PM Modi said India has always accorded high respect to Nepal’s sovereignty.
