Yadav accuses Dahal of being double-faced
KATHMANDU, APR 15 – Chairman of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Nepal (MJF-N) Upendra Yadav has said that the opposition alliance would stay united if UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal amends his mistake. Yadav accused Dahal of committing a mistake by aborting the three-day general strike.
“The opposition front will stay united if Prachanda (Dahal) stands in favour of the rights of people,” said Yadav, during an interaction programme organised by Reporters’ Club in the Capital on Wednesday, “There will be crisis if he surrenders, backing away from the 9-point proposal tabled by the front.”
Chairman Yadav said that UCPN (M) Chairman Dahal’s response to the matter would determine the future of the 30-party opposition alliance.
Saying that Dahal committed a grave mistake by withdrawing the protest on April 7, Chairman Yadav alleged the UCPN (M) Chairman of being double-faced by putting his feet at two boats named ‘power and alliance’. Yadav remarked that now Dahal should either choose dialogue or protest.
The MJF-N Chairman alleged Chairman Dahal of being duplicitous regarding the issues of five tarai districts.
