KATHMANDU, APR 10 – The Supreme Court(SC) has directed Trade Union s not to get involve in any political activities except collective bargaining. The apex court gave directive in an interim order issued on Friday.
Responding to a writ filed by advocate Arjun Aryal, a single bench of Justice Cholendra Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana barred the trade unions from getting involved in political activities.
Aryal had filed a petition at the apex court drawing attention towards the increasing political interference by trade unions.
SC has summoned the trade unions for the group discussions at the court.
