Samsung J1 CTC Mobile Expo kicks off
Kathmandu, April 10: The Samsung J1 CTC Mobile Expo has kicked off at CTC Mall, Sundhara, in Kathmandu, today.
Inaugurating the expo, Minister for Information and Communications, Dr Minendra Rijal, said that the government was committed for the development of information technology.
Stating that mobile telephony service has become essential for every human being, Minister Rijal said the Nepali society is becoming IT-friendly.
He said the government was engaged for the campaign of expanding telecom services in villages, saying the development of IT has expedited the pace of change.
Similarly, lawmaker and Chairman of the Civil Group, Ikchhya Raj Tamang, claimed that consumers would get an opportunity to buy mobile sets at a reasonable price and said the CTC Mall would be developed as a mobile centre.
Mobiles worth Rs 10 billion are sold in Nepal every year, he added. The expo will conclude on April 18. Service centres of 10 mobile companies, 100 mobile stalls and food court are included in the expo. RSS
