Kathmandu, April 1: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav returned home this afternoon following a week-long visit of China.
At the invitation of the Government of the People’s Republic of China, President Yadav had left Kathmandu for Hainan province of China on March 26 to attend the ‘Boao Forum for Asia: Annual Conference 2015’.
Upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, President Yadav was welcomed at the VVIP lounge by the Vice-president, the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Ministers, heads of security bodies and high-ranking government officials.
On the occasion, the President was presented with a guard of honour by a contingent of the Nepali Army.
During the visit, the President addressed the conference held under the theme “Asia’s new Future: Towards a community of common destiny” and held talks separately with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, with President of Austria Dr Heinz Fischer and Prime Minister of Sweden Stephen Laffin. RSS
