Docs announce shutdown of OPD services
Expressing dissatisfaction over government’s apathy towards the hunger strike of Dr Govinda KC, Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has announced that it will shut the Out Patient Department (OPD) services in all the government and private hospitals across the country from Wednesday.
The umbrella organisation of medical doctors announced their strike in the wake of deteriorating health condition of Dr KC on Tuesday as the government has turned a deaf ear to his demands, NMA President Anjani Kumar Jha said.
NMC would shut down the emergency services too if his demands were not addressed within the next 48 hours, Jha added.
Dr KC is a life-time member of the Association.
